Stuck in this horrible kind of limbo

Never felt as low and dispirited as I do at the moment about NCFC. Missed my first league game in two and a half years yesterday as i simply couldn't be bothered to go and endure another 90 minutes of away crap and i'm pleased I took that decision. Many of my mates, all of whom are away season ticket holders, also did not go and are not planning to go to many of the away games we have coming up. When people like us who have lived and breathed NCFC for the last few years simply can't be bothered with going to games as we have lost our enthusiasm then it says it all really.

The manager is a joke but the board won't sack him. All we will keep doing is pick up enough narrow scrappy victories in crunch games to keep him in a job whilst losing regularly so as to ensure we keep hovering around lower mid table. The lack of willingness on the part of Delia and MWJ to take the decision we all know needs to be made is shocking and risks undoing all the good work they have done over the last few years. All the delay means is that by the time we do change things it will be too late for make a challenge for the playoffs, players will want to leave in january and the atmosphere will have become even more poisonous and indifferent.

The manager basically went on national radio on saturday and admitted that he does not know what more he can do to sort things out. When a manager says that then you are utterly screwed. Ok the players have let themselves down as well but the fact is they are his players and, despite what they say in the press, they are NOT playing for this manager. Until he is chaged then that will not change and until he is changed then I do not think I will be able to rediscover the same kind of enthusiasm and enjoyment that I get out of watching NCFC.

Rant over!
