Saturday sees Wolves host Norwich City in a game between the two pre-season promotion favourites in an intriguing game at the Molineux. Both sides have suffered dissapointing starts to the season and both no defeat is simply not an option in this pivotal clash.

Norwich City or the Canaries as they are affectionately known have been in dire form in recent weeks and their victory over Cardiff City in midweek is speculated to have saved plucky manager Nigel Worthington from the sack. The Canaries currently occupy 16th position in the Championship and know a victory at Molienux would lift them level with the Molineux outfit. Norwich have had a dissapointing record on the road this term with just 6 points from their 7 away trips.

However to many the start to the season Norwich have had is nothing short of staggering, as on paper they possess arguably the strongest squad in the division and it is easy to see why manager Nigel Worthingtons hair is so grey. One of the stars of the City line up is England goalkeeper Robert Green. Green is undoubtedly the finest in his position in the Championship with fabulous reflexes as well as a high command of his area, Green can look forward to a trip to the World Cup at the end of the forthcoming season such is his stature with the England hierarchy. Another star of Worthingtons side is energetic full back Mathieu Louis Jean. Jean was highly regarded by former Wolves manager Dave Jones who tried to snap up the full back more than once with seven figure bids. Norwich seem to have got themselves a bargain having signed him in a swap for Gaery Holt and Jean has quickly developed a cult following with the City fans for his high energy performances down both flanks.

City can also look to celebrity supporter Delia Smith for inspiration. When Smith isn't on the cooking sherry in the boardroom she likes nothing better than a drunken half time rant at her beloved Carrow Road. Another celebrity Canary is Sophie Ellis Bextor, the alien headed beauty has little time to visit Carrow Road due to her numerous P.A appearances and when she isn't commiting 'murder on the dancefloor' she likes to keep up with the goings on if her boyhood heroes.

Wolves boss Glenn Hoddle looks set to make changes from the side which picked up an encouraging point from Brighton. The cumbersome Jody Craddock could make way for cult hero Gabor Gyepes and Seol looks set to frustrate the fans again, making way for Darren Anderton who chipped one of his glass feet in the week.

A crowd of around 21,500 is expected at a raucous Molineux including a noisy and boisterous following of 750 farmers and other assorted inbreads from Norfolk. This game is one Hoddle cannot afford to lose and the words 'lets be having you!' will be heard around the Molineux corridors of power come saturday afternoon.
