Sticks and stones...

Seems to me that the main damage done by rumours on here and elsewhere is that they've handed worthy and the board a useful subterfuge.

'Let's focus on how awful it is that scurilous fans have been gossiping on the web, instead of actually dealing with the fact that we're looking more and more like relegation meat every day that worthy's in charge.'

Everyone focusing their disgust at the rumour-mongers (largely a bunch of kids with nothing else to do) has resulted in a handy rallying cry for the club and indeed worthy himself. It seems that this, somewhat insignificant footnote, is THE major talking point of an AGM that should have been laying out some firm plans for getting the club out of it's current predicament.
