Whitaker is unproven. OK he's

played for Rangers in a league where there are four proper contests a season and has some European experience in a losing cause, plus he's played for Scotland but that's no great recommendation is it? As for Turner...well the jury's still out but I don't think I've ever seen a worse debut (not even from Fotheringham!)
