Gutted he didn't come back on loan to us, but deep down if he is going to make it for Spurs he needs premier league game time.
When he first came in he looked really poor. He was all big and not imposing, strolled around the place like it was beneath him. Rumour has it that he had a real bertie big bollox attitude. The rumour continues that Paul Robinson (captain) took him to one side after a training session and, lets say told him a few home truths about where he was heading if he carried on the way he was going.
Either way about a month further on, he started scoring. Scoring and working hard.
If i could compare him to a player we can both relate to, i'd have to say Morison minus the pace. But all round, he is probably already a better player than Morison. He's technically very good. He has very good ability from distance, scored some crackers for us. Not brilliant in the air, but neither is Morison, but he can score with his head.
We played him out wide when playing one up top and he's played on the wing - in fact the comparisons with Morison strong.
He isn't the finished product, and there is lot to come. I honestly think he could have done with a full season with us as he needs game time that i'm not 100% sure he is going to get with you. But if he finds his feet and progresses the way i think he will - you'll have a lot of difficulty turning this to a permanent deal. Spurs think very highly of him
