What's the general take on Hughton's sacking from Newcastle?
Seemed very harsh at time but Pardew has really taken them forward in the last year, aided by the Carroll windfall and losing characters like Barton and Nolan no doubt. Would that have happened under Hughton?
Ashley and Llambias are both hard nosed bastards and felt Hughton was too 'soft' for them and wouldn't stand his ground. McNally I'd say is similar so might that put him off?
Could be that Pardew got lucky and Hughton just fell foul of a couple of pricks but just playing devil's advocate intut.
