as it goes, I think we'd have struggled next season anyway

and I think PL knew it and wanted to jump a healthy ship before his rep tarnished. Looking at next year's Prem, I think there's likley to be fewer carcrash clubs in it, tho I wouldn't have expected Bolton to f**k up so badly last season. who knows?
