He will be curious to know what villa are offering as would anybody who got offered a new job. It would be valuable information for him to know what the offer on the table is for him to be able to negotiate with them, us or any other club, now or in the future.

McNasty said after the last game of the season he would fight any approach for Lambert so the only way Lambert could have any chance to speak to villa is to hand in his resignation.

Villa have been s**t for ages so the expectation there will be greater there than here. The job can't be that much of a hot seat if it is still vacant.

Until the club confirm he has left it is still a case of
