any experts in football / employment regulations

if Lambert wastalking to Villa while still our manager ( which he obviously was ) and then tendered his resignation while still talking to them , would there be a case for us to go after

1 Villa - tapping up our manager and discussing with him while he is still with us

2 Lambert - talking to other clubs while manager here
