If we haven;t accepted his resignation nor given him permission to talk to Villa

Then he is in breach of his contract, Villa are in breach of the rules. they will still have to reach agreement with us over compensation (and hopefully not pilfering players). He will still go there but McNally is setting us up well for the negotiations ahead.
