disagree - Villa are a big club

the same size as Sunderland, say, and even with his much stronger CV than Lambert O'Neill was happy to go there.
To stay here would a giant risk for Lambert because we we rightly be among the favourites for relagtion next season. 3 clubs with pretty much no money got relegated and replaced by three teams with money who will soend (witness Saints splashing of ?7m on Rodrigeuz).
If we do get relegated next year (a decent possibility even if Lambert stays) he risks being just another Phil Brown - a one season Prem wonder.
He stands a much better chance of boosting his Prem CV and attracting the bigger fish by doing well at Villa - they are a bigger club less likely to get relegated, and success there would make him less of a risk for the even bigger clubs
