Reasons why Lambert might want the Villa job

1. His ego might say that he could do better than Martin O'Neil did, and so it is a great opportunity to prove a point to "the gaffer".

2. He could improve Villa for a season or two, whereas he might think that he has taken NCFC as far as he can.

3. He could see it as a step towards the Man Utd job.

4. Villa have higher attendances.

5. Money.
