Sadly there were too many journos pushing the "lambert is keen" line earlier

in the summer for there to be nothing in it in my view. I am hopeful, however, that with Villa having very obviously pursued other targets for a few weeks and not having approached us that he would now have sufficient pride to tell them where to stick it.

Either way though we could do with these t**ts getting on with it and appointing a manager because I just have a feeling (not based on any info admittedly) that McNally might be holding back on the transfer front whilst lambert remains so heavily linked with this job.
