Well yesterday was a day I didn?t expect.

In as per usual at 6.45am, getting on with life in the office in then....got whisked off from work at 10.45am in an ambulance, after some very worrying signs, big head fuzziness, dizziness, didn?t feel confident in walking, felt very sick; at one stage I had my head in a bin in the office! Two retches no follow-though which was a relief to all.

Symptoms were more than a little worrying as I thought I had suffered a mild stroke as they came on really suddenly. Was relieved when the medics put the electrodes on me and appeared to rule that out. Trying to walk or stand was also very tricky.

In casualty was seen by the doctor who seemed very confident in diagnosis which was a comfort; I had a dose of labyrinthitis. I was then seen by one of the top doctors, a guy called Tim Harris who had some other people with him so he could demonstrate how he diagnosed and checked this so it was good I could be of some medical assistance, however unintended it might have been on my part.

Feeling much better, but no driving for a week. Or beer. And pills to take.

Now googling labyrinthitis and reading up on it.
