How good was Beattie? did you ever see him play?

Never saw him play too young (41) but i read somewhere that when Robert Robson was asked who the best players were who played under him he said Ronaldo,Gascoigne and Beattie And some other person said that had he been playing today in the Prem he would be on 200 grand a week
