I can't have these on at all, maddening immediately

I put them on in the shop, and she says "How are they?" and I said "wow - I can't even see you properly!".

So she says "oh, just move your head a bit", and I replied "why should I need to do that?"

Honestly, my old specs were fine but I had to do the head-wobbly thing to read small print. Now I have a pair of specs that require me to do the head-wobbly thing at all times. I don't doubt I would get used to them - I just cannot think of a reason why I'd want to.
