generally you wont get the best deal from the dealerships...

I used a company Credo Asset Management, just told them what car I wanted, they sourced the car via a website, think it was UKnewcars.co.uk, at 3k less than main dealer price, sorted the finance at considerably less than Hondas leasing. I then picked the car up from the Honda main dealer. Considerable savings and the only difference with main dealer was i picked it up from their commercial manager rather than public sales.
