Let's get this straight, I'll never forgive you lot for 1975/6, but, now that we're both safe, I have to give you credit where credit is due.

You have a football club that is run properly and your performances this season have been remarkable. I hope for your sake that you keep hold of Lambert, but, if not, you can be assured that the real heart of the club is in good hands.

Our rollercoaster is bound to continue and, while it's great to have Uncle Tony at the moment, we don't really have a plan B if it goes tits up.

So (through gritted teeth) congratulations and I wouldn't be averse to seeing Rooney feed of big fat Grant in June.
