Any Finance bods about?

Some c**t from De vere keeps ringing me up saying he can get me a year's bond at 5.75%. I'm not particularly arsed, to be honest. It's only about 9k, and it's not for me. Plus....It got a bit desperate when i said I'd call it back if i wanted anything.

Should I just buy Gold?
