Tony Pulis

Tony Pulis got Stoke promoted to the premier league, has kept them up comfortably ever since, got them to an FA cup final and Europe.

A question that I cannot think of a good answer to is this:
Why is Pulis never talked about as a contender when a 'bigger' managerial job comes up?
