I can see where you coming from

Dani and Bennett obviously have a lot of potential and I hope they will go on to do great things for us.

That leaves you with Barnett, Ward and Zak, and I doubt we can afford to replace 3 centre halves, so on the grounds that he is our best CB I would keep him, even if he wasnt first choice/regular starter.
