I'm the one on the table with my friends eyeing up the boy I fancy. He's ignoring me but

my friends have spotted the signs and are convinced he fancies me. Later on I will be going home to write about it in my diary.

30 years later on, following a Friends Reunited meeting, he will be very surprised to find out I'd fancied him and will wish he knew at the time. Too late as we are now both very happy with someone else.

Not sure how this fits in wityh the Norwich City analogy mind.
