Surely they're incorrectly named

I understand the young people refer to PS1, PS2, PS3 and so on.

Whereas anyone with a modicum of education would tell you it's PS, PPS, PPPS &c.

I blame the demise of the School Certificate and the introduction of Channel 4. The country's never been the same.
