We don't have two years to give him

Allowing him that sort of time to make an unlikely huge development in his game will stunt the growth of younger (and better) players like Ayala and Bennett (or any other young defender we sign), Lambert persists with him because he has the potential to be a decent ball playing CB, unfortunately Ward can't do the defending part, poor positioning, marking, weak tackling and he doesn't read the game all to well, good in the air but that's it, I would be really worried if Lambert tried to build a defence around Ward long term, if Ward was an inexperienced yongster then I could understand it, but he's a twenty seven year old with over two hundred senior appearances.
