At no point did I suggest he was advocating Nazi extermination policy. BUT what i was saying was that using such a loaded phrase, an event that has impacted on the lioves of millions, in such a stupid, flippant way is simply unacceptable.

The whole issue is to belittle and understate such a horrific event is a terrible thing to do, whether an Oxford don or a simple football pundit.
