you can use a dictionary. Now you need to be able to develop the skills of empathy, trying to key in to the way that people feel. "Downgrading" the phrase simply isnt an option. Having stood in Auschwitz and listened to a Rabbi say prayers at dusk, having listened to and worked with those who survived but who lost everything in the process, having read numerous books and taught the topic for years what you are saying flys in the face of common decency.

By all means keep quoting a dictionary definition, but all you are doing is making yourself look very, very small and lacking in any form of intelligence.
