"Alfonso" - this character was based on a Portugese guy (I think), who "ran a restaurent in Diss" and didnt know whether to "support ipswich or norwich" and made public comparisons to "help him to decide".... the funniest thing was the writing was in an accent!

was funny for a week before the novelty wore off.....
