I want Norwich to win every game they play-league, cup, Norfolk Cup, reserve games, friendlies-we play, we win-thats all I want.
I know it isn't possible but, for the life of me, I do not see the point of competing if your objective is not to win, or do your very best to win and for that to be the goal.
If last night was a tactical defeat then i fear more for the game than ever.
If being in the PL wasn't so vital, if the very essence of this season for us-and about 12 other clubs was simply staying in the PL, if being in the PL wasn't so much about the game as your future as a viable business-then so much pressure would be lifted, clubs would feel a massive burden lifted and competitions like the League Cup would matter again.
The game of football contributed to last nights result more than anything the Manager did or didn't do. likewise the players. The fear of not being in the PL surpasses the fear of losing. I don't like that.
I can see the "logic" of not being in the League Cup-at a push. But I'd far ratther that we and all the other clubs wanted to be in it, win it and not regard it as a disruption to the business plan!
