yep, definitely is

They create the massive waves and Virgil's in their ship thing saying "you don't have to do this, you don't know we'll destroy the planet wiv our nucliar weppons."
And the aliens think about it for a bit then make the waves disappear and Virgil asks why they didn't kill us all and they show him the message he sent to his bird about not coming back etc
