Two reasons, I suppose

1) I don't like martial arts movies. grow the f**k up, basically - not you, Wuzz, just as a general overarching sentiment

2) the whole Tarantino thing is bulls**t, for me.

Take the Grindhouse movies for example: two directors make deliberately clonky B-movies. Wossname Rodriguez's Planet Terror was terrific fun, so entertaining and schlocky, you don't even ask yourself obvious questions like "How is she firing that?" because it doesn't matter.

QT's offering was 20 mins snappy dialogue, 5 mins extreme violence, 40 mins snappy dialogue, 10 mins extreme vioence, all with a quirky retro soundtrack. Utter s**t, and not unlike most of his films I've seen - tho in fairness I've swerved most of his and watched others only under partial protest.
