Talking of Japanese films: Empire just gave four or five stars to one called Confessions

and my brother rented it, and raved about it. "Japanese storytelling at its best", he said. But it isn't, it's awful, I hated it so much it was making me angry and I binned it after about 40 mins. A thoroughly nasty piece of work and IMHO not Japanese-style at all. Not recommended at all.
