Here's the thing though - and it might be hard to accept

Almost absolutely nothing matters right now. Hull won eight of their first 12 games a couple of years back and only avoided relegation by a whisker. Blackpool won loads early on and went down.

It's January onwards that sorts the men from the boys which - given how the last two seasons panned out - may be to our advantage.
