OTBC at Portaloo Road

Having been thrown off the sofa by the kids who decided they wanted to watch Britain?s next top model more than I wanted watch Arsenal go out of the champions league, I decided to exert some authority in my own house by skulking off to the kitchen to do the washing up. At least I could listen to the commentary on Radio 5 live in peace.

It was worth it as in between the commentary from the Emirates they kept on going off to update the score from the 1P5wich vs Southampton game.

As yet another report came in confirming the latest score of (I think) 1-4, I heard OTBC coming from the Radio 5. Fair play to those Southampton fans I thought, singing their most hated rivals song. And knowing the words as well. And thrashing them in their s**tty ground. Those 1P5wich are going to hate them for that.

Suddenly I realised that OTBC was not being sang by Southampton fans at Portaloo Road, but it was my mobile phone that had been ringing for a few seconds. But those few seconds were great and brought a huge smile to my face.

And the phone call was from the Ladies Secretary at the golf club letting me know that Gemma had won a competition there today.
