Yes, though that's largely because there's so much more available

and is massively pushed with advertising and the media. As a kid in the 70s, if they'd invented Playstations, mobile phones, laptops, PCs etc, we'd have wanted them.

We all had Spectrums, C64s, Ataris etc when they came along. It's just that there's so much more of it to buy these days.
