Mrs Kirrie (who is from Moscow) was watching the London violence on TV last night.....

and could not understand why there was no tear gas and water cannon etc being used and I have to say that I agree with her. Its bizarre that we have water cannon available in N.Ireland, but its not legal to use them on the UK mainland. In any other European country, this would have been dealt with far more firmly. The bleeding heart liberals have had their day and this is the result - time to toughen up IMO!
