Late goals and the chap two rows in front of me...

Nice bloke but always, ALWAYS, leaves 4 minutes before the 90 is up. It's become a bit of a good natured joke around our area, he has even got to see the funny side himself and memorably said as he left the Reading game "enjoy the goal" which, 5 minutes later, we all did.

Fast forward to today, the clock ticks past 80 minutes, still 2-2 and our man turns around and says "today, I'm staying to the end". Some 3 to 4 minutes of injury time elapse, "eff this, I'm off" he says and fast foots it out. I should think he got to the bottom of the stair well and we scored.

The man, is without doubt, some sort of late goal lucky charm but only by his absence. If a late winner is required against Coventry he will definitely be asked to do one on 86 minutes.
