First time I can criticise Lambert's tactics...

On numerous occasions this season he's brought on Mcnamee when we've struggled to break teams down. Yet on the one occasion where we were desperately crying out for some width he gives mcnamee about 5 minutes, in which time he put in more dangerous crosses than we'd managed in the previous 85.

Pompey couldn't have played any more narrow defensively and yet we've not adjusted to it at all. Both full backs were screwed as they had bugger all support to help them get forward enough. That forced us to continuously attempt passing through the eye of a needle, which was never going to work the way pompey were set up today.

As for Barnett sending off, I was at other end, but it looked incredibly soft. Did barnett get a second yellow then red, or straight red? Really hope it was a second yellow, was still a bloody stupid tackle to make, seeing as the ref was giving them more and more as the game went on.

Poor all round today, tried too many passes instead of shooting too. Even more disappointing that everyone else arouns us failed and we could've been just a point off 2nd.

But in Lambert we trust, and I expect a MUCH better performance against Coventry with the horse back.
