CITY and Premier League side West Bromwich Albion have agreed terms on a deal which will see on-loan central defender Leon Barnett make a permanent switch to Carrow Road when the transfer window re-opens.
The move will see Barnett join the Canaries on a three-and-a-half-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
Barnett has impressed during his 17 appearances since joining on loan from the Baggies in August, turning in some immense performances in the heart of City's defence alongside Elliott Ward and scoring a vital equaliser against Leeds at Carrow Road.
City boss Paul Lambert told First News: "Leon has been colossal for us and the biggest compliment I can pay him is that he will be exactly the same for us as he has been during his loan spell when he completes the move in January.
"He has become a fans' favourite because of the way he has played for us, which has been brilliant and I don't think anyone can say he hasn't always given everything he's got. I'm delighted he is set to join us permanently in January."
