Certainly another factor, its a MASSIVE gamble currently.

Gets it right he'll be adored there like he is here, and to be fair, I don't think he'll need to get it too 'right' at the minute to win over the fans, they know the clubs in a mess.

They may also have more patience with a manager clearly on his way up than an 'old hand' who's largely failed where ever he's been.

If he kept them up the rest of football would probably consider that an achievement, and a positive entry on his CV, and if Ashley got twitchy too soon once again, Lambert would probably get sympathy for that, rather than damage to his reputation.

Of course it could much more wrong than that with the mess behind the scenes and do real damage to his reputation, it is a club with a bit of potential though.
