I've got an acquaintence

He's a bit older than me and is prone to the odd daft borderline racist comments. When he does, I normally call him up on it and tell him he's an ideot and explain that this misguided ignorance can cause offence. Generally he's okay and is quite kind spirited.

He ran a half marathon last year for charity - was I hypocritical for sponsoring him?
