I think there is a middle-ground here...

Having gone 2 up we gave away a goal almost straight away again so there is an argument for slowing the game down after scoring or making it less stretched. We have conceded far too many goals soon after scoring ourselves and as the commenentator on 5LSX said yesterday slowing the game down is a tactic Mourinho uses to his benefit.
Yes to taking a little while to take goal kicks etc but we have to defend a little deeper when we are trying to kill periods of the game off.
