we're not isolated from it. Why are most clubs running at a loss and carrying potentially ruinous debts?

Because the clubs at the top of English football - Manyoo etc - are enormous multinational companies competing with Barcelona, Milan etc.

And so other English clubs overspend to try and compete with them, to get their slice of the pie.

And it all filters down to us (eg through inflation player wages).

So we *can't* just carry on and ignore it all, because it directly affects us. Unfortunately.
