I had one of those in 1997

I was playing hockey and the ball went out for a hit in to our team. I ran to get the ball, tripped over where the astroturf finished and the concrete pitch surround started.

My foot landed on the ball (which was on the concrete pitch surround) and my ankle went one way. Unforturnately the rest of my leg went in a different direction to my ankle.

Result - No sport for three months.
