He's been past it for a few seasons, though.

Not really good enough to bat any higher than 8 or 9. And to play him solely as a bowler just put more stress on his already-battered body.

Shame- we saw what he could do during the 2005 Ashes. However, i'll always feel that apart from that series and a few other performances, he always flattered to deceive.

3 5-wicket hauls is nowhere near good enough for a bowler of his ability. And although he got 5 hundreds, an average of just over 30 is also below par I feel.

The fact he's going to probably be remembered a 'legend' alongside the likes of Botham is a bit much. However, he was spectacular during THAT Ashes series.
