club's a joke

God Bless Newcastle.

They claim that Keegan didn't have final say in the signing of players, despite

a) writing him a letter on Sept 4 2008 that said: "It will continue to be the position that no player will be bought for the first team without your approval..."

b) publishing an interview in the match programme where Little Dennis Wise said "He (Keegan) has the final word"

c) his contract of employment stating that "Keegan will... perform such duties as may usually be associated with the Position of a Manager of a Premier League Football Team..."

This case also reveals that NUFC signed a player on loan, and paid the associated wages of around ?1 million, even though the player had no prospect of being involved in the first team. Why? To curry favour with two "influential" South American agents.

I thought I had heard it all, but that is just wonderful!

And the FA thinks that a "fit and proper persons" test will keep footy clean? Norra chance, chuck.

Gotta dash. Keep it real.
