Parallels desktop - help required

As I can't do any work whilst we are playing; I have a Macbook and it can't run AutoCAD as its a PC only program at present, so I am considering getting parallels desktop. I know i can make use of bootcamp but as I really dislike the PC platform I am told parallels is the way forward. Any views?

Also, Parallels 4.0 is ?50, with older versions available far cheaper. Anybody know what the differences are?
