Maybe this year's team is just being super-efficient

after all if you are going to make a certain number of shambolic cockups a season it is much better to make them all in one game where they only cost you 3 points total rather than spread than out so that they cost you points week after week (which is what LAST year's team did so effectively - until the very end they rarely looked totally hopeless but every week or so they managed to find a single cockup in an otherwise decent display that would cost them 2 or 3 points)
