Bryan Gunn. Why is everyone so surprised?

Look at the pre season games. With the exception of Palace and Wigan they were all incredibly s**t teams. And as if Palace and Wigan are going to play their strongest sides against lower league opposition? No chance, most were reserve and fringe players so no wonder we looked good. City fans yet again are duped and taken in by all the spin and propaganda from NCFC during the summer and like the mugs they are 18,000 or so sign up again on more false promises. I really hope all the pompous idiots on here a couple of months ago that were slagging off those who 'greedily' claimed their rebate feel a bit bloody stupid now. They should do. More of their cash wasted on inferior, crap League 2 standard rejects. Wouldn't you think that the one position Gunn would get right is goalkeeper? The farce that is Theoklitis sums up Gunn's incompetence perfectly for me. I posted on here the day he was appointed that Gunn as manager would be the death of this great club, yet was criticised for negativity and told to "Give him a chance". Well so far this idiot has relegated NCFC to the third division for the first time in 50 years and yesterday masterminded the worst home defeat in the club's 107 year history. How much more of a chance does the man deserve? I also recall people in favour of his appointment saying "It'll be ok. Bryan's a decent fella. If it starts to go wrong he'll step aside because he loves the club so much". Really? If he was a decent fella he would have stood aside immediately after the Charlton debacle. Club legend? I fear Bryan Gunn is more likely to be remembered as stubborn, deluded and oblivious of his own incompetence. NCFC has turned into a sad little old boys network. Crook and Butterworth, neither highly regarded in coaching circles. Why are they here? Because they're Gunn's old mates. McVeigh? What is he doing here? Couldn't even get into Luton's side most of the time. His old mate Gunny feels sorry for him of course. And of course lets not forget the cook and her chain smoking other half appointing Gunn in the first place. Why? He'd only ever taken charge of his son's under 11's before? Name any other club out of the 92 that would have given him the gig. No, I can't either. But he's a good friend of course so why not? Whats the worst that could happen?............
