Yes but speed isn't everything

it's actually reaction time. Doc is slow to react. Flem was nowhere near as fast as the Doc but because he reacted so fast he got to the ball quicker. What it comes down to is this: if you aren't a very good footballer it really doesn't matter how fast you can run - cf Henderson, Daley, Smith etc
