That the ball went into the net doesn't infringe the law, IIRC.

That said, this is/was a classic, if somewhat pointless, case study in the exams. It wouldn't ever happen if the wind is that strong as to turn the ball round that much, the game wouldn't be on.

So, in conclusion, irrespective of who is right, the discussion is pointless!
